About Mr. Dan Hughes: An Experienced Lawyer at Your Service
From the central highlands of South Vietnam to the courtrooms of South Louisiana and Mississippi, Mr. Dan Hughes has been fighting for justice for people and businesses throughout his adult life. He has spent over 40 years as an attorney and counselor at law seeking fairness for clients, whether it's drafting contracts or ensuring the rights of businessmen and women through general, oil and gas, and business litigations. After serving his country, Mr. Hughes completed his studies at John Carroll University and Suffolk University. He then worked his way through law school at Tulane University, graduating near the top of his class in 1976. Since then, he has been practicing law in Lafayette, LA, and Jackson, MS.
Personal Life
As a father with experience raising five children through college, Mr. Hughes has been particularly concerned with the growing problems of today's youth. That is why he rolled up his sleeves and gave his time and energy to help address these concerns. He served as two-time Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Lafayette Juvenile and Young Adult Program and as President of Love in the Name of Christ Inc. These efforts were extended on behalf of non-profit organizations to provide a new direction, protection from abuse, and care for children and youth.
